Layer 1 Signification : Que Veut Dire Layer 1 en Crypto ?
Définition
A Layer 1 is the main, core blockchain network itself, like Bitcoin or Ethereum.
It handles the security and final agreement (consensus) for all transactions that happen on it. L1s are the foundation, but they can get slow and expensive, which is why Layer 2 solutions are built on top of them to increase speed.
